Woods Coffee introduces the release of their new collection of Direct Trade whole bean coffee. The Direct Trade coffees are purchased directly from particular farms that have been selected for their ability to consistently produce the highest quality bean. Dealing directly with the farmer allows us to eliminate many of the non value added transactions that take place in the traditional coffee supply chain. The goal with Direct Trade is to create a new way of doing business in the coffee industry to create a consistently superior product and better living for the farmers and their families.

The first coffee in the collection is the Costa Rican. This organic coffee has smooth caramel and citrus flavors, grown at the Las Lajas estate in the fertile volcanic soil of Alajuela, Costa Rica. This estate was the first to produce organically farmed coffee in the region and is a leader in environmentally sustainable coffee farming practices. Direct Trade and many other whole bean selections are available in all nine locations as well as online at www.thewoodscoffee.com.
